On-location training and adult education Classes designed for the individual needs of your workers can be arranged on an “in-plant” basis via Ivy Tech State College and other training providers. Adult education classes are also available from Huntington North High School and taught at your location. Vocational training Collaborating with IVY Tech, Huntington University, Northeast Indiana Works, the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce, Huntington County Economic Development, and the Huntington County Community School Corporation, student and adult learners now have opportunities locally to learn industrial trade skills. Huntington County Community School Corporation Huntington County Community School Corporation (HCCSC) is comprised of seven K-5 elementary schools, one K-8 school, two middle schools and one high school. The corporation serves all of Huntington County, including the communities of Andrews, Huntington, Markle, Mt. Etna, Roanoke and Warren. Huntington North High School has approximately 2,000 students enrolled in grades 9-12, and the system serves approximately 6,000 students with more than 400 teachers and instructional assistants. The average class size is 17 students. Huntington Catholic School In partnership with parents, Huntington Catholic School (HCS) offers a Christ-centered learning environment from preschool to grade eight. With the support of the faith communities, HCS reinforces Catholic family values by teaching the Catholic faith and values; fostering Christ-like relationships by developing self-esteem and promoting service to others; and providing a strong academic curriculum, emphasizing the development of the whole person. As of January 2012, enrollment from preschool to grade eight is 195. Student-to-faculty ratio is 19:1. Non-Catholic families are welcome.
