April Unemployment Rate Lower

 

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has released the Unemployment Report for April 2018.  The report shows the Huntington County Unemployment Rate at 3.1%, down from 3.5% in March.  This is the third consecutive month the percentage has declined.  The rate was 3.9% in January of this year.

 

The report indicates an increase of 236 more Huntington County residents now working compared to March while the number of unemployed dropped 69 from the previous month.

 

The Unemployment Rate in Indiana ranged from a high of 4.8% to a low of 2.0% during April.
