Duke Energy Awards $5,000 Grant to Huntington County EDC April 9, 2021 Report Duke Energy announced the awarding of $90,000 in total grants to 18 economic development groups throughout Indiana in support of marketing efforts which will result in new jobs and investments in the Communities served by Duke Energy. According to Company sources, each of the 18 groups will receive $5,000 toward their efforts. Huntington County United Economic Development Corporation is among the groups selected to receive funding. "Duke Energy has always been a tremendous partner in our efforts to create new jobs and capital investments within the industrial community of Huntington County," said Mark Wickersham, executive director of the Huntington County United Economic Development Corporation. "Our Agency is very appreciative of our friendship with Duke Energy and honored by their continued demonstration of confidence in the efforts of our local team. Our Community is very fortunate to have so many committed friends in the economic development process but cannot stress enough the importance of having one of the most reliable electric providers in the Nation taking care of existing customers in Huntington.
