Hartburg, Marshall and Miller Complete Terms January 4, 2024 Report The Board of Directors for the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation showed their appreciation to Michael Hartburg, Seth Marshall, and Rob Miller at their December Board Meeting as each completed their terms of service with the Board. Mr. Hartburg has been serving via an annual appointment since January of 2022 as the President of the Lime City Committee. Mr. Marshall, who had been representing City Council on the Board since January of 2016, did not seek re-election and departed from the Board. Mr. Miller completed his year on the Board as the President of the Huntington County Board of Commissioners. "Our corporation has been very fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers serving on our Board," said Mark Wickersham, executive director. "Each of the groups Hartburg, Marshall, and Miller represented will appoint new members to our Board in 2024," Wickersham added. The Huntington County Economic Development Corporation is a non-partisan organization. It is not a municipal entity of government, but instead is a private business, organized as a non-profit entity under IRS Code Section 501 (c) (3). It is governed by a 17 member board of directors. The entity is somewhat unique as a consulting vendor in that municipal entities who execute a fee for service contract with the corporation are welcomed to be full voting members of the Board of directors of the corporation itself.
