Huntington County Economic Development Corporation Contributes $5,000.00 to Community Learning Center November 16, 2015 Report The Huntington County Economic Development Corporation approved a contribution of $5,000.00 to support construction of the Huntington County Learning Center. Ground was broken for the project, a $1.3 million collaboration among the private, public, non-profit and educational organizations in Huntington County earlier this fall. The Center offers industrial and other career training opportunities to people of all ages in Huntington County. "The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Huntington County have led the fundraising efforts for the project and I'm very excited our agency is extending financial support for the project," said Mark Wickersham, executive director of Huntington County Economic Development. Last month, the Lime City Development Committee of Huntington County Economic Development Corporation also committed $5,000.00 to the Center. "This is an excellent economic development initiative and collectively, our agency has now contributed $10,000.00 in support. I'm very excited to see the building becoming a reality," Wickersham said. Wickersham presented the agency's check to Center Director, Tiffanney Drummand and United Way executive director, Jenna Strick.
