Huntington County Industries Honored

 

 

Huntington, Indiana --

 

The 2012 Business Appreciation Luncheon, sponsored by Huntington County Economic Development was held on April 11, 2012 at the Habecker Dining Commons on the campus of Huntington University.  The event is to recognize clients of Huntington County Economic Development which committed to attraction, expansion, and retention projects during 2011.

 

Twelve companies (13 projects) invested over $32 million in Huntington County, commiting to nearly 135 new jobs while retaining over 950 existing jobs.

 

The companies honored were:

Community Fiber Solutions

Continental Structural Plastics

EE Winery

FMI Corporation

Gerdau Huntington

Huntington Aluminum

Huntington Sheet Metal

M & S Industrial Metal Fabricators (2 projects)

Nelson Machine & Fabrication

UT Electronic Controls Division

 

'It is very encouraging to have such a strong economic base in Huntington County," said Mark Wickersham, Executive Director.  "We really appreciate the hard work and commitment of not only our honorees but all the employers in our County," he added.
