June 2016 Unemployment Report

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development reports the unemployment rate for Huntington County for the June reporting period is 4.2%.  This compares to the State-wide average of 4.6%.  The Huntington County statistics reflect more people in the workforce than the previous month as well as compared to one year ago.  Also, the number of Huntington County residents working has also increased compared to the previous month.  The high-water mark for unemployment in Huntington County was 14.3% in June of 2009.
