March Unemployment Rate Lower

 

 

 

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor has released the March Unemployment Report.  According to their data, the unemployment rate in Huntington County is 3.5%.

 

The rate declined from 4.0% the previous month and the reported number of unemployed workers is at its lowest point this year at 630.  According to the job posting website Indeed.com, there are currently 151 available jobs of all types within a 5 mile radius of the center of the City of Huntington and 235 within a 15 mile radius.
