August 28, 2015
PHD, Inc., completed the second phase of their multi-year expansion of operations at their Huntington facility. The comprehensive expansion involves an investment of over $4 million creating 22 new jobs while retaining their incumbent workforce. The recently completed phase of the project involved an investment of nearly $940,000 creating 6 jobs.
The company hosted the Huntington County Commissioners and HCED executive director for a plant tour and company briefing as the Commissioners presented the company with an incentive grant of $28,000 in support of the project.
"The economic development team is very proud of PHD. They are a great corporate citizen supporting projects like the local youth robotics program and the Huntington County Learning Center Project," said Mark Wickersham, executive director of Huntington County Economic Development Corporation. "The Commissioners did an excellent job expediting the incentive grant and demonstrated one of the key reasons our County is able to compete for economic development projects," Wickersham concluded.
