Record Year for Industrial Growth December 13, 2019 Report The Huntington County Economic Development Corporation announced that 2019 has been a record year for client projects. The agency facilitated 19 client projects representing $59,602,200 in private capital investments. This surpassed the previous record of $40,271,400 of investments launched in 2016. The average wage associated with the job commitments in 2019 was $23.30 per hour. This compares with $19.26 per hour in 2018. "2019 has been an incredible year in our industrial community," said Mark Wickersham, executive director. "We have a lot to be thankful for and really appreciate the clients who, through their business efforts, make our Community a better place to live and work," he said. "On behalf of our clients, we'd like to also thank the various elected officials for their hard work and support. The County Commissioners, Mayor, City Council, County Council, and the various Town Councils throughout our County all work together to support growth in our industrial community, " Wickersham said. "It's a team effort and we have a very strong team," he concluded.
