Roanoke to Receive CEDIT Grant

The Huntington County Commissioners approved a CEDIT Grant for the Town of Roanoke during their meeting on Monday, March 16, 2009.  The grant, in the amount of $35,000.00 is to assist the Town with the acquisition of land at the corner of Vine and Main Streets, commonly known as the site of the former C&M Plating Company.  The Town disclosed two potential projects in volving the property.  One is associated with a potential senior housing development proposed on an adjacent parcel.  A second possibility involves a long-range planning proposal to potentially develop a new Town Hall/Fire Station on the parcel.
