Unemployment Rate Improves Again in October November 30, 2020 Report The Indiana Department of Workforce Development, in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, has released the October Unemployment Report. The unemployment rate for Huntington County residents was reported at 3.8%, nearly returning to the Pre-COVID rate in February of 3.3%. October represents the sixth consecutive month of improvement since the spike to 20% resulting from the Stay-at-Home Order as a result of the pandemic. "The situation is very encouraging, especially with all the challenges our Nation has faced in 2020. Our employers continue to have strong demand for their products and have job openings posted," said Mark Wickersham, executive director of the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation.
