UTEC Plans $1,613,377.00 Investment at Huntington Facility

United Technologies Electronic Controls Division or UTEC, announced plans to invest $1,613,377.00 in new equipment to support production requirements, improve quality and provide higher technology at their Huntington facility. UTEC is a global manufacturer of microprocessor based controls for the HVAC industry.  They specialize in controls designed specifically for each OEM as needed. The company has engineering expertise in all facets of ignition, refrigeration and machine controls.

UTEC is the largest industrial employer in the Huntington County and is located in Huntington's Riverfork Industrial Park. The investment retains 795 existing positions for the company.The Huntington City Council unanimously approved a ten-year tax abatement in support of the project at their meeting on January 13, 2015.
