HCUED Executive Director Appears Before Roanoke Town Council
HCUED Executive Director, Mark Wickersham appeared before the Roanoke Town Council the evening of November 18 to provide an update on HCUED's activities over his first seven months with the agency. The report included a discussion of the new strategic plan for HCUED, office renovations, website upgrade, organizational restructuring, a report of activities within each community served by HCUED, and a summary of the nine industrial projects announced within the County so far this year. Wickersham also advised the Council that Indiana's Secretary of Commerce Nate Feltman recently announced that Huntington County ranked 9th in the State of Indiana for economic development projects on a per capita basis.
The Town Council voted unanimously to continue their funding commitment to HCUED. HCUED Board Members, John Stoeckley (Town Council President), Chris Jensen (President of the Roanoke Chamber), and Darlene Stanley (HCUED's Vice President) joined Wickersham at the meeting.
