Mark is in his 17th year as the executive director for the Huntington County Economic Development Corporation.
His nearly 40-year career in politics, business and economic development uniquely qualify him to serve as executive director. He has a demonstrated record of results and has provided our industrial community with continuity and stability which are critical to their success.
He’s worked as the northeast regional director for the
Indiana Economic Development Corporation under former Governor Mitch Daniels; served as a commercial lender for a community-based bank, and logged 15 years with two different members of Congress—in addition to being a motorcade coordinator/driver for former
U.S. Vice President Dan Quayle. Mark also worked in the office of advancement for Huntington University's Office of Alumni Relations for nearly 4 years.
He serves as a Commissioner on the
Northeast Indiana Strategic Development Commission and represents the city and county in activities with the Northeast Indiana Council of Local Economic Development Organizations
(LEDO Council),
Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and
Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.
His accomplishments in Huntington County include the facilitation of 182 client projects reflecting over $800 million in private investments, creating nearly 3,800 new jobs.
Site Selection Magazine has recognized Huntington as being among the top 100 best performing small market economic development efforts nationally, most recently being ranked 16th of 520 competitors.
